Best Time to Visit

Spring (March–May) and Autumn (September–November) are ideal. Summer is hot but manageable; winter is cold and dry with far fewer tourists.

Routes

Xi'an Xianyang (XIY) is the main airport for Northwest China.

High-speed rail connects Xi'an to Beijing (4.5h), Shanghai (6–7h), and Chengdu (3–4h).

The metro in Xi'an is efficient and reaches the train stations and city wall.
